Smita Patil 25th Death AnniversaryThe family of actress Smita Patil observed her death anniversary today with an elaborate pooja in her remembrance.
Smita’s son Prateik who debuted on silver screen last year said that his maternal family would conduct a pooja every year on the death anniversary of his mother.
“It’s a small family affair where all of us gather at our Bandra home and remember my mother. This year an elaborate pooja was planned to mark the commencement of her 25th death anniversary. This is an extremely emotional time for the family, he said.
Prateik, incidentally, was only 15-days old when his mother passed away.
He made a debut with a role in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na last year and will be seen in a lead role with Dhobi Ghat which is ready for release next month.
Smita Patil would have loved to see her son on the celluloid, a family member of the young actor said.
