Sonia Gandhi the president of Congress has criticize BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) on the demand of joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe into the 2G spectrum scam and criticized the “corruption in BJP-ruled states.
She has addressed in a meeting with Congress parliamentary party and said “Who are they to lecture us on corruption?”.
Abhishek Singhvi (Congress spokesperson) quoted when he was briefing the media quoted Gandhi as saying that BJP governments in Karnataka and several other states were corrupt.
Gandhi said numerous Congress members had resigned when charge were raised against them, BJP leaders on the other side is facing corruption charges were clinging to their chairs. “BJP should not denigrate the parliament”, Singhvi said.
Sonia Gandhi also said that country would not bear the exhaustion of Parliament time and by the opposition protests.
Whole opposition inluding National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and others are demanding a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum allocation in 2008, which according to the CAG report, caused huge notional losses to the public exchequer.
