The West Bengal (WB) joint Entrance (Exams) Examinations Board was formed as West Bengal (WB) Board of
(Exams) Examination for Admission to (BE/B.tech/Medical / Dental / Pharmacy/B.Arch. / Dairy Technology / Agricultural Engineering) Degree Colleges in the year of 1962, born out of a concept of holding a common admission test for the (BE/B.tech/Medical / Dental / Pharmacy/B.Arch. / Dairy Technology / Agricultural Engineering ) colleges of the State of West Bengal (WB). The basic purpose was to select Students for consideration for admission to the State Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive (Exams) Examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the Students in appearing at number of entrance tests.
WBJEE 2011 having 3 papers Mathematics (100 marks), Physics & Chemistry (100 marks), Biological Sciences (100 marks).
Admission is based on merit.
