2009 myspace 2.0 layouts, new year myspace layouts, 2009 new years layouts, happy new year myspace layouts, happy new year layouts, myspace new year layouts, new year themes myspace, new year mayspace themes, myspace 2.0 new year layouts, myspace 2.0 themes, new year myspace 2.0 layouts, read my mind, monacomeChristmas is all but over, the New Year beckons. For some people, this means out with the old and in with the new, temporarily that is. If you're one of those who change their MySpace layouts with every occasion, chances are you'll change your MySpace layout with a New Year theme once December 25th passes. In fact, many of you are in the hunt for MySpace New Year layouts now, eager to welcome 2009 with a fresh new look. You're in luck because there are hundreds, if not thousands, of New Year MySpace layouts available on the web, and most of them are free. This post does not contain New Year layouts though. Rather, it seeks to help install them
as I've seen many queries online on how to change a MySpace layout.

Finding New Year MySpace layouts/themes/backgrounds is the easy part. As I've said, there are literally thousands of layouts to choose from. However, many MySpace users are at a loss on how to change their themes, especially with the new Profile 2.0. I had the same problem too. Fortunately, I found online instructions on how to do that. Now, changing themes is a breeze. It's quite ease, really.

For those of you who have been having some difficulty trying to work out how to change your MySpace layout after switching to Profile 2.0, here is a step-by-step tutorial to walk you through the process. (I am assuming that you already have the New Year MySpace layout of your choice and its corresponding CSS code).

1. Log in to your MySapce account and look for the Profile tab. It's on the top part of the page just below the MySpace logo and third tab from the left. Hover your mouse over the Profile tab and a menu will drop down. Look for 'Edit Profile' from the pop-down menu and click it.

2. Once on the 'Edit Profile' page, looks for the 'Customize Profile' link. It's on the top right-hand corner of the page. Click it.

3. A scroll-down menu will pop up after you have clicked of the 'Customize Profile' link. This menu contains pre-selected layouts/themes from MySpace. If you want to install any of the themes provided, click it. But if you want to install another layout that you've found elsewhere, click on the 'No Theme' (blank rectangle). This will clear your present layout and pave the way for the installation of a new theme.

4. Now, look for the 'CSS' link on the left of the scroll down layout menu and click it. A bank rectangle will appear after you've done this with these instructions on top: To preview the page with your CSS, click "Preview". In Profile 2.0, your CSS must go here.

Paste your New Year MySpace layout code inside this blank rectangle then click on the 'Publish' button - it's on the top right-hand corner of the page, screaming at you in bright yellow. Once you've clicke the 'Publish' button, you're done!

Now isn't that simple and easy? Now you can change your MySpace layout anytime you want to. After you're done with the New Year theme, you can either go back to your regular layout or start getting ready for the next occasion - Valentines.

Hope you'll have fun choosing your MySpace New Year layout this year!
